My dear friend who was an investigator for the Riverside Sheriff Association, introduced me to the GREAT Army - Navy Academy in Carlsbad. I went there with John and met General Bliss. He was the overseer of the Academy. I was very impressed with him and his cadets. My friend, John, had been in the Academy when he was younger and it shaped him into a GREAT Man of Character.
The Academy had the most wonderful and polite young men I had ever seen. They were so courteous and helpful. The "Trickle Down Theory." General Bliss, so amazing, and the young men were just like him. General Bliss was their "Role Model."
I was able to update several things at the Academy. One was there sign. From the street you couldn't read the letters or see the logo... WE Fixed That! The other thing was to bring the Veterans Memorial up to date. I came back another day with my portable engraving system. It so wonderful to thank the men I met at the Academy for their service, and still, serving another portion of "building young warriors."
This is one place that I had wanted to help update each month. It turned out, I moved 1700 miles away. Thank YOU General Bliss. If you ever read this, you and your cadets "Blessed My Heart!" You became a good friend. God bless, Katie
