My encounter with Ernie, a seasoned cowboy with a history full of adventures, brought out a deep connection to the land and the traditional values of the Old West. For Ernie’s portrait, I drew upon the raw, rugged nature of the cowboy’s life. Using rich browns and deep blues, I painted a landscape that mirrored the hardships and beauty of the plains.
