World War 2, WW II, a time when America came together to face the giants. We were bombed... destroying much of Pearl Harbor. American men signed up to fight the enemy that had come to our American soil. My father, left my mom and my sister to go to war. I was not yet born then, but my mother had to fend for herself. Knowing my mom, she never complained...
"It was for America." So it was with Americans serving America!
America came together "AS A NATION" to fight the evil. There were no protestors then, only Americans. My mom became "Rosie Riviter" by day and mother by night. Americans fought valiantly... all factions of the military. The men and women of America did not ask why?... but duty called and they served!
America was a country of Patriots!
I am glad to present to you these memories of WW II. I love these greeting cards because they what
"MY AMERICA STANDS FOR!"
This is my heart... This painting was baked in TileArt at the outdoor cafe in Sherman Oaks at the famed Sportsmans Lodge Hotel. My Grand Marquis Merc, painted supernaturally by God is middle... and the last, I am at a motorcycle rally September 11, 2010. I am a Patriot of America... I show my colors daily.
Thank YOU all Veterans for serving. You are what "True America" is all about!

Also... I wish to add... 3 of the above cards bothered me. It hurts me to think that our men are being taken away from us. I have included these cards because war is not kind... but many times necessary to keep our nation free from tyranny and people who would like to take over our way of life.
There is a scripture in the Bible that I love... it says "CHOOSE LIFE" and life, the way God intended it to be is worth
fighting for and dying for.
America being the land in which God would dwell... God put into the hearts of our Founding Fathers a desire to be a free people, free to worship and live as God had directed them by His Word.
America was chosen to be a divine nation, "One Nation Under God".
God has also placed for those who love and obey Him a protection from evil.
Deuteronomy 28 is very clear about the blessings and curses of those who would come against Him.
..."I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse.
So CHOOSE LIFE in order that you may live, you and your decendents..
"Sometimes... Our Hearts can speak more loudly in Poetry than we can in words."
America is in deep trouble.
We have allowed by our kindness, trouble to come into our land..
We have allowed it to take hold and flourish and become powerfully controlling.
We have given up our freedom and allowed it to slip away slowly and quietly.
The greeting cards from WW II, 911, Patriotic... are not just cards, they are...
"When we banded together as a nation in WWII and 911, we banded together to fight the evil that would force our way of life to change.
We fought for OUR Freedom then... we can fight for our Freedom NOW!
I would like to add a poem that I feel God gave me through some very interesting circumstances...
It is called, THE KISS OF THE SCREAMING EAGLE!
Thank you for allowing me to share my heart with you.
KISS OF THE SCREAMING EAGLE 8" x 10",,, $10 + $3 SHIPPING
It was a sneak attack on a sunny, Sunday morning, December 7, 1941, just before 8 a.m. The United States expected an attack, and were well informed from Japans diplomatic codes... but expected it in the Indies, Maylaya or the Phillipines. The attack on Pearl Harbor was totally unexpected. In a short time, 5 of 8 battleships were sunk or sinking and the rest damaged. Several other ships and most of Hawaii's based combat planes were knocked out and over 2400 Americans were dead.
The American people, to raise up, had a purposeful unity hardly ever seen before.
The United States called for a surrender of Japan on July 26, 1945. The Japanese government ignored this ultimatum.
By executive order, President Harry S. Truman dropped the nuclear weapon, "Little Boy" on Monday, August 6, 1945,
followed by the detonation of "Fat Man" over Nagasaki, August 9, 1945.
6 days after Nagasaki, Japan announced it's surrender.
Approximately 150,000 to 246,000 Japanese were killed... and roughly half of the deaths in each city were killed the first day.
The war... the wars... is hard to put into words. The one good thing that came out of this challenge for America is... Our Nation came together, much like it did after 911. It seemed everyone had one purpose, to help, rebuild, care, call, be blessed that they and their families were still alive. We saw alot of heroism come from September 11, 2001. It has always seemed very peculiar to me that 911 was the day picked to be attacked.. and we will always remember that emergency 911 day!
Here is the link to the 911 page and artwork... God bless, Katie "heart" West
